Topic:1700 model curiosity

I notice that the bevel on the new 1700s has undergone a shift from earlier versions of itself and away from historical examples. It seems to have broadened and gotten more uniform in dimension along its length. To me it’s representing a lack of refinement. Glad I got mine earlier and my sympathies to the ones who didn’t. Could it be a hint of  the Hults Brukification of contemporary mass produced axes out of Sweden?

But luckily smids like Martin Claudel are sticking to the original form.
